Streamlining digital asset registry systems

Using blockchain to turn Mortgages into NFTs

DART (Digital Asset Registration Technologies) is a blockchain-based lien and eNote registry. It takes advantage of blockchain’s core attribute of having an immutable record of ownership and value.

DART enables lenders to originate loans as fully digital assets and instantaneously trade them with counterparties on Blockchain as digital tokens.

Strategy & Scope

Disrupt the eNote registry industry by directly competing with MERS (the only competitor), which is more costly because of not having an automated system and data reconciliation.

Challenge

My role as product lead was to develop the structure, skeleton, and surface of the product within the span of a quarter—using an agile workflow.

Structure

To install design thinking into the product which was originally done as an MVP with engineering and project managers only.
Skeleton

I worked quickly to build a lean Design System in the span of two months that would focus on interactions and user interface components.
Surface

I worked cross-functional with the brand team to quickly develop the voice and tone of DART. Which was to be friendly, approachable, and professional.
